Tokyo, November 4, 2003 \u2013<\/strong> Sony Computer Entertainment Japan (SCEJ), a division of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. (SCEI) responsible for business operations in Japan, announced today that it would release \u201cPlayStation\u00ae2\u201d Racing Pack, a limited offering for this winter. This Racing Pack contains Gran Turismo\u00ae4 \u201cPrologue Version\u201d, which is the single cut version of Gran Turismo 4, the latest of the Gran Turismo franchise, and specially colored PlayStation 2, and will be available on December 4th, 2003, the same date the title is released, at the recommended retail price of 22,000 yen (excluding tax).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gran Turismo<\/em> franchise holds top class sales on PlayStation\u00ae<\/em> and PlayStation 2<\/em> platforms, achieving combined shipments of more than 33 million units around the world. It enjoys worldwide popularity among game users and also earns high reputation from professional car racers as a real-life driving simulator. \u201cPlayStation\u00ae2\u201d Racing Pack<\/em> is a special limited model containing Gran Turismo 4 \u201cPrologue Version\u201d<\/em> and PlayStation 2 \u201cCeramic White\u201d<\/em> specially colored based on the white image color of the title. The carton box of this product as well as the title jacket is originally designed under the supervision of Kazunori Yamauchi, producer of the Gran Turismo<\/em> franchise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Separately sold Analog Controller DUALSHOCK\u00ae2<\/em>, Memory Card<\/em>, and Vertical Stand<\/em> of the same color will also become available, enabling users to color coordinate with PlayStation 2<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
