\nLeipzig, 22 August 2007.<\/span>At its Press Conference at Games Convention today,
\nSony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) unveiled Go!Messenger, the wireless
\ncommunications package for PSP\u2122 (PlayStation\u00aePortable), due for release in
\nJanuary 2008 in the SCEE territories.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\nUtilising the very latest in VOIP technology, PSP users can now keep in touch with
\neach other, for free, from any wireless internet connection. As part of a future
\nfirmware upgrade, Go! Messenger places a small application on PSP\u2019s XMB\u2122
\n(XrossMediaBar), which can be downloaded separately from the web and installed to
\nthe Memory Stick\u2122 *, and PSP owners will be able to instant message (IM) each
\nother when connected to a Wi-Fi hotspot, using a new and intuitive on-screen
\nkeyboard. By adding a headset, voice chat and voice messaging becomes possible,
\nand by connecting Go!Cam, the attachable video camera for PSP, users also have
\nthe ability to make video calls to their friends and leave fun video and voice
\nmessages.\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\nThe Go!Messenger suite of communications tools will become a key part of the PSP
\nowner\u2019s busy lifestyle, enabling a variety of communications options to help them
\nstay in touch with their friends, and truly bringing the entertainment potential of PSP
\nto life.\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\ncommunication functionalities to all the existing multimedia experiences,” said

\nregion to communicate with each other, through Video or Voice chat, truly confirms

\nGo!Messenger has been developed in partnership with BT, one of the world\u2019s leading
\ntelecoms providers and along with other new products such as Go!Explore, Go!Cam
\nand the Go! branded Video Download Service, highlight PSP\u2019s commitment to
\ncommunications, community and entertainment through the new Go! Brand.\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
