Celebrating Pride Month 2025
Sony Interactive team members unite globally to celebrate Pride to uplift LGBTQIA+ voices across the world

At Sony Interactive, we’re committed to fostering a culture where every player and team member feels seen, respected, and empowered to be their authentic self. Throughout Pride Month in June and beyond, we celebrated the LGBTQIA+ voices across the gaming industry and within our own teams led by our employee network, Pride@PlayStation. For our LGBTQIA+ player community, PlayStation Store and PlayStation Direct collections continue to offer a variety of inclusive and exciting games that celebrate representation.
Externally, our efforts have also received recognition. We were named a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ+ equality after receiving a 100/100 on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s “Corporate Equality Index” last year. In Japan, Sony Interactive is honored to be awarded Gold consecutively in “The PRIDE Index” that was developed by the Japanese general incorporated association Work with Pride since 2017.
Let’s take a look back at how we celebrated recently to uplift the community and foster empathy, connection, and understanding through play.
PlayStation Studios Initiatives
Guerrilla

Over in the Netherlands, Pride celebrations are just getting started. Guerrilla will be embracing Pride throughout their office, including hosting special in-studio screenings of Pride-themed movies and a Pride-themed team gathering for studio members. To embrace the spirit, the team will also be given a custom Guerrilla Pride pin, assembled in time to celebrate across the studio.
Bungie Initiatives

At Bungie, Pride Month was marked by both in-game celebration and real-world impact. Through sales of their exclusive Pride Collectible Pin 2.0 and Destiny 2 emblem and pride-themed shaders, Bungie raised funds for the It Gets Better and Advocates for Trans Equality Education Fund, with proceeds supporting LGBTQ+ youth around the world. Beyond digital initiatives, Bungie employees took to the streets, joining the Seattle Pride Parade and Trans Pride Seattle, to stand in solidarity with the community.
Global Events
Tokyo – June 7-8, 2025
Sony Interactive has been sponsoring the annual Tokyo Pride event every year since 2018, as a part of its focus on creating a sense of belonging within our PlayStation community, ensuring everyone feels valued, heard, and supported. This year, as a part of Sony Group, we had a digital photo booth and employee volunteers participated in the parade in Tokyo.

WeHo Pride- June 1, 2025

Our Los Angeles-based PlayStation Studios members marched together in the WeHo Pride Parade held on June 1. London – July 5, 2025

Accompanied by drag artists Eden Queen, Lucy Caboosi, and Brenda Rant; our UK-based employees rallied behind in-person events before hitting the streets of London with a gorgeous new PlayStation-branded float. Bringing together employees from our One Hall Street and Liverpool offices, Media Molecule and Firesprite, along with special guests from other gaming companies, Pride this year was extra special.

In the UK, celebration continued as our Liverpool-based employees marched with Pride over the July 26 weekend, coming together to rally together with the city.
San Francisco – June 29, 2025

Marching alongside Sony Group company Crunchyroll, Bay Area Pride@PlayStation eNet members walked down Market Street in one of the world’s most renowned pride parades and celebrations. Rallying at the Crunchyroll office in downtown San Francisco, marchers chanted “anime is for everyone” and “Play out Proud”. Aside from participating in the Pride parade, this year, our San Mateo and San Francisco-based staff continued volunteering and supporting the Larkin Street Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to serving unhoused youth and providing them opportunities to thrive.
San Diego – July 19, 2025

Sony Interactive Entertainment employees celebrated together with Sony sister company Sony Electronics, joining hands and voices in San Diego Pride. In addition to the festivities, our San Diego employees held in-person celebrations on campus for those who could not attend the march. Sony Group companies have supported and contributed to San Diego Pride for the last 16 years and brought a renewed sense of purpose and community to the parade this year!
Encouraging a Sense of Belonging for Employees
Every year, led by our employee network Pride@PlayStation, we have hosted remote events for folks across our offices where we operate. This year, Sony Interactive brought together screenwriters, performers, and advocates through programming focused on celebrating Pride and encouraging a sense of belonging to all employees at the company.
