Making a game takes heart. Publishing one takes courage. For small teams, the journey can feel overwhelming—but you’re not alone. Indies power PlayStation’s future, and we thrive because creators like you take risks and push the medium forward. We want you to succeed, and we’re here to help you get started in the way that works best for your team.

No two games are alike. No two paths are either. Think of this as a clear roadmap on how to bring your creation to life on PlayStation — easy to follow and built to support you at every step. You choose the direction, and we’re here to back your journey.

Step One: Become a PlayStation Partner

Head to PlayStation Partners and begin your registration. You’ll share some basics about your studio and a short Project Play — basically your elevator pitch. There’s no need to create a full game bible for this. We only want just the essentials.  Try to keep it simple, focused, and clear:

  • Who is making the game (your team and vision)?
  • What the game is?
  • When you hope to release it?
  • Where you plan to launch?
  • Why this game matters (what sets it apart)?
  • How it plays (core features? style, visuals, and overall feel)?

Once your registration is approved and you sign the Global Developer and Publisher Agreement (GDPA), you’ll unlock access to our full ecosystem: development tools, publishing resources, documentation, and dedicated Help Center support from the teams who review your requests and champion creators across PlayStation. The ‘Indies Tips’ section is a valuable resource. Log in to PS Partners, go to ‘Help Center’ > ‘Documentation’, and search for ‘indies’ to access detailed information.

Step Two: Show Us Your Game

Submit your title through the PlayStation Independent Partner Title Form

The Independent Partner Title Form brings your game directly to the teams within PlayStation who look for standout experiences to uplift across PlayStation—from editorial to digital events, social, and more. Fill it out fully and accurately so we can understand your vision and review it quickly.

We receive many submissions for a limited number of support opportunities, but we review every title with care. Selection isn’t guaranteed, but your submission puts your game on our radar — and that awareness often becomes the starting point for future opportunities.

Support Comes in Many Forms

A lot of teams assume success at PlayStation requires a formal “deal.” While some partnerships make sense for specific initiatives, the truth is that the vast majority of indie success stories at PlayStation happen without one. Many of the games we highlight – State of Play, events, editorial spotlights – come from creators who register, keep us updated, and let their work speak for itself.

Partnerships make sense in specific situations, but they’re not the only path. Once you’re a PlayStation partner, far more support is available than you might expect, and much of it doesn’t require anything beyond your submission and good communication.

Behind every tool within PlayStation is a human. Behind every feature we make, is a team of people who love games. We are excited to see what you’re making, and we want to help champion your game across PlayStation.

We Can’t Wait to See What You Create

Publishing is tough. Navigating a giant ecosystem like ours can feel intimidating at first glance. But we’re here, paying attention, and excited for the future you’re building.

Indies are the soul of the PlayStation brand. Thank you for creating with us. Let’s help you share something incredible for the world to enjoy!

Play has no limits!
