Tokyo, October 2, 2012–Sony Computer Entertainment Japan (SCEJ), a division of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. responsible for business operation in Japan, today announced that a “PlayStation®3 Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage 2 LEGEND EDITION” bundle pack will be available on December 20, 2012, concurrently with the release of the Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage 2 software title (TECMO KOEI GAMES CO., LTD). The bundle pack will include the new PlayStation®3 (PS3®) computer entertainment system with 250GB hard disk drive (HDD) and the Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage 2 software title for PS3®, as a limited offer at a recommended retail price of 33,170 yen (including tax).
Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage 2 is the latest sequel to the Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage which has been shipped over 6 hundred thousand units in Japan*1 since its release on March 25th, 2010. With newly added scenario and characters as well as enhanced gaming feature, this title has evolved to be a compilation of the franchise. Users can enjoy the fusion of the nationwide popular comic “Fist of the North Star” and the exhilarating Warriors series-like action.
The PS3® system included in the bundle comes in Charcoal Black color with a stylish design depicting silhouettes of many characters such as “Kenshiro” and “Raoh” along with north dipper seven stars, the symbolic motif of the original work of “Fist of the North Star”. The product also includes a special DUALSHOCK®3 Wireless Controller which has north dipper seven stars printed on the surface. Additionally, the bundle comes with the product code that enables users to download the Kenshiro – Land of Shura costume which is only available for the first edition of the software from PlayStation®Store*2 and a pouch for smartphones which is a privilege for those who reserved the software.
With the “PlayStation®3 Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage 2 LEGEND EDITION” bundle pack, SCEJ will offer chance for more users to touch the world-view of Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage 2 which is expected to smash the market for this holiday season, and continue to further accelerate the expansion of the PS3 platform.
