Sony Interactive Entertainment Announces the Integration of Wholly Owned Subsidiary SN Systems
SN Systems, provider of programing tools for PlayStation developers, to be fully integrated into Sony Interactive Entertainment to drive continued innovation in game development
February 5, 2025, SAN MATEO, Calif. — Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) announced today the next evolution in its partnership with SN Systems Limited (SN Systems), a developer of programming tools for game creators on PlayStation consoles. Acquired by SIE in 2005 and currently a wholly owned subsidiary, SN Systems will be fully integrated into the SIE family as one unified company on April 1, 2025.

Founded in 1990, SN Systems has set industry standards for development tools in the gaming industry. Since its acquisition in 2005, SN Systems has collaborated closely with SIE to create software development kits and tools for PlayStation®3, PlayStation®Vita, PlayStation®4, and PlayStation®5, contributing to the success of the experiences designed for the PlayStation family of products.
The full integration of SN Systems into SIE will drive further innovation and creativity for PlayStation® products and services, while also enhancing operational efficiencies.
