At Sony Interactive, we aim to provide innovative experiences to all players. Our cross-functional safety team works tirelessly to deliver an environment that is welcoming and supportive to players from all backgrounds.
The Sony Group Code of Conduct outlines our commitment to customer safety, as we strive to inspire a world filled with emotion (Kando) to our gaming community. Part of that commitment is to provide information that is accurate and easy to understand. This report introduces the three safety pillars that underpin our safety philosophy for keeping our players safe: Control Your Experience, Shield Our Players, and Enforce Our Standards.

PlayStation Parental Controls
We continually research and gather feedback from gamers with disabilities and Parental Controls on PS5 consoles can help parents manage their children’s PlayStation experience. Creating accounts for your children allows you to customize their privacy settings, spending limits, playtime schedules, and access to games based on their ratings.
Human Oversight
Our automated solutions are supplemented by its trained global moderation teams, which support players in all languages 24/7/365 where PlayStation services are available. Sony Interactive makes it easy for players to report unwanted interactions through the PlayStation interface. When the moderation team receives a report, they carefully review it and decide on next steps, which may include corrective action ranging from written warnings to console suspensions, in order to protect players and ensure a joyful play experience online. Sony Interactive ensures transparency by communicating its decisions to those involved and by providing an appeals process for permanent suspensions, where applicable.
Encouraging Positive Player Experiences
Through the Nudge feature, we empower players to review and edit content by educating them in real-time that it may be harmful to others and in violation of the Code of Conduct, before it is sent to recipients on the PS App.
